St. John Chrysostom School does not discriminate on the basic of race, color, national and ethnic origin in its admission policies, educational programs, or in the administration of student programs and benefits. For a child to be admitted to school, the family must be registered members of the parish or for non-Catholics, reside within the boundaries of St. John Chrysostom Parish, and be willing to support the policies of the school and to meet the financial responsibilities.
Children entering Kindergarten must be five years old by October 31, as verified by a birth certificate and a baptismal certificate. Also, an up-to-date immunization record must be presented. Children entering First Grade must be six years old by October 31.
Registration for the next school year generally takes place in February. Parents are required to complete informational forms and pay the registration fee. Transferring students may apply throughout the year and are accepted depending upon space availability in the desired grade and a review by the Principal of the student's previous records.
An Open House is scheduled in January during Catholic Schools Week for perspective parents to visit the school and meet the Principal and faculty. Applicants may also contact the school office to arrange for a visit and receive more information.
